Is this you?

You’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating life changes, or grappling with the aftermath of past traumas. Perhaps you’re a parent managing children with developmental needs, or a woman who has faced personal challenges such as low self-esteem, childhood trauma, or even domestic abuse. If you feel like you’ve been suffering in silence, stuck in feelings of unworthiness or rejection, I’m here to help. Together, we can create a safe space where you’ll learn to release those burdens and rebuild your self-worth.

My Approach to Wellness

My approach to wellness is faith-centered, rooted in the belief that healing is possible for everyone. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed practices to guide my clients through transforming negative thought patterns and addressing anxiety, depression, and unresolved trauma. Additionally, I incorporate holistic methods, encouraging practices such as prayer, meditation, and grounding in nature to restore balance and peace.

What are 5 words clients use to describe you?

Loving, Sweet, Understanding, Patient, Empathetic

I Specialize in working with people who...

I specialize in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and women’s issues. I have a heart for helping individuals who have faced dark times and are ready to move toward healing. I also provide Christian counseling for clients who wish to integrate their faith into their therapeutic journey.

How would you describe therapy to someone who has never been to therapy before?

Therapy is a safe space where you can be yourself and share openly. It’s a space where you’ll gain tools to help you manage difficult emotions, change negative thoughts, and work through personal challenges. I’m here to support and guide you through this journey at your own pace.

What holistic practices do you incorporate into session?

I incorporate a variety of holistic practices, including prayer (for those who are open to it), breathing exercises, meditation, and grounding techniques such as spending time in nature. I believe in nurturing the body, mind, and soul through healthy habits like proper nutrition, exercise, and mindfulness.

If someone was on the fence about therapy what would you say to encourage them to get started?

I would say, “You’re not alone, and it’s okay to ask for help. Therapy can provide the tools and support you need to move forward, and I’m here to walk that journey with you. You’ll come out of this stronger and with the skills to handle life’s challenges.”

About Me

I’m a Christian counselor and mental health therapist with a passion for helping people who have experienced anxiety, depression, and trauma. My personal journey has equipped me with the empathy and understanding needed to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their healing journeys. I’m also a mother of three children, two of whom have autism, so I understand the unique challenges parents face, especially when supporting children with developmental needs.

Identities I'd like to share

I identify as a Puerto Rican, Christian woman, and I believe that my faith and cultural background inform the way I approach therapy. My own experiences of resilience and growth deeply shape the support I offer to my clients.

My Story

My journey into therapy began with my own battles with depression and anxiety during my teenage years. With the support of a wonderful therapist, I saw how transformative therapy could be. That experience led me to want to help others, just as I had been helped. After years of working through my own struggles and raising my family, I pursued my Master’s degree and now work with individuals who are ready to break free from the weight of their past. I believe that every challenge is an opportunity for growth, and I’m dedicated to helping my clients discover that for themselves.

Education & Professional Background

  • Master’s Degree in Counseling, Grand Canyon University
  • Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern, State of Florida

Just for Fun!

If I didn’t become a therapist, I would be doing this instead…

I would be a preacher, leading a women’s ministry where I could help uplift and inspire others through faith.

What are your top 3 go-to self-care techniques?

Prayer and worship, spending time with my family, and teaching my children.

3 Fun Facts About Me

  1. I have three wonderful children, two of whom have autism.
  2. I love spending time outdoors, especially by the water.
  3. I’m a devoted Sunday school teacher!
