Is this you?

You may be a mother struggling with the identity shifts that come with motherhood, feeling overwhelmed by expectations and guilt. Or you could be navigating the emotional complexities of immigration, adjusting to a new culture while carrying unresolved trauma from your past. If you feel disconnected from your body, your family, or your sense of self, I can help you find a path forward through therapeutic support that honors your unique journey and cultural heritage.

My Approach to Wellness

My approach is rooted in understanding the cultural and familial influences that shape my clients’ experiences. I use a combination of cognitive-behavioral techniques, trauma-informed care, somatic practices, and mindfulness to help clients connect with their bodies and navigate their emotional landscapes. Whether working through trauma, anxiety, or life transitions, I provide a space of deep respect and validation where clients feel seen and empowered.

What are 5 words clients use to describe you?

Compassionate, intuitive, grounded, culturally attuned, non-judgmental

I Specialize in working with people who...

I specialize in working with individuals who are navigating intergenerational trauma, life transitions, and cultural adaptation, particularly mothers and women of color. I also support individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and prenatal/postpartum challenges.

How would you describe therapy to someone who has never been to therapy before?

Therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space where you are free to express your emotions, fears, and thoughts. It’s a journey of self-discovery and healing. I guide clients by helping them set goals and navigate the ups and downs of their emotional journey. Think of it as creating a roadmap for your healing—together, we’ll identify where you want to go and develop the steps to get there.

What holistic practices do you incorporate into session?

I incorporate healing sounds, somatic movements, breathwork, and mindfulness practices. I also use art therapy techniques like lifeline exercises to help clients express their stories visually and explore their emotions in creative ways.

If someone was on the fence about therapy what would you say to encourage them to get started?

I would gently ask them what they’re hoping to achieve or what they feel is missing in their life. Therapy can help you identify and meet your own needs in a way that feels supportive and healing. It’s not about telling you what to do, but rather helping you recognize your own strengths and use them to move forward.

About Me

I began my career in Puerto Rico, earning a PhD in Organizational Psychology and completing clinical work in maternal health. My journey to therapy started after my own difficult experience with motherhood, where I discovered a deep passion for helping women heal from traumatic birth experiences and generational trauma. Since then, I’ve been committed to providing culturally competent, trauma-informed care to women, mothers, and families, helping them navigate the complexities of life transitions, cultural identity, and emotional healing.

My Story

As a first-generation college graduate from a humble background, I understand the pressure to succeed while navigating complex emotional and cultural experiences. Becoming a mother unexpectedly transformed my life and led me to search for healing in ways that were not available to me. This experience fueled my passion for supporting others, particularly women and mothers, as they navigate their own healing journeys.
