My Approach to Wellness
I take a compassionate, client-centered approach to mental health, combining evidence-based techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I specialize in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions by providing practical tools and personalized strategies.
My focus is on fostering growth, building resilience, and helping clients reconnect with their inner strengths. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, validated, and supported in their journey toward emotional well-being. Together, we work toward developing lasting coping strategies and achieving a balanced, fulfilling life.
What are 5 words clients use to describe you?
Empathetic, Supportive, Insightful, Empowering and Culturally Attuned
I Specialize in working with people who...
I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and intergenerational trauma. I provide support for those facing challenges like cultural adaptation, prenatal/postpartum adjustments, and emotional stress, helping them build resilience and reconnect with their sense of self.
How would you describe therapy to someone who has never been to therapy before?
Therapy is a supportive, confidential space where you can explore your emotions, challenges, and experiences without judgment. It’s a process of understanding yourself better and learning practical tools to manage difficult feelings and life changes. I work with you to set clear goals, uncover underlying patterns, and build coping strategies that will help you move forward with confidence and resilience. Think of it as a partnership focused on helping you find clarity, healing, and balance in your life.
What holistic practices do you incorporate into session?
I incorporate healing sounds, somatic movements, breathwork, and mindfulness practices. I also use art therapy techniques like lifeline exercises to help clients express their stories visually and explore their emotions in creative ways.
If someone was on the fence about therapy what would you say to encourage them to get started?
I would gently ask them what they’re hoping to achieve or what they feel is missing in their life. Therapy can help you identify and meet your own needs in a way that feels supportive and healing. It’s not about telling you what to do, but rather helping you recognize your own strengths and use them to move forward.

About Me
I began my career in Puerto Rico, earning a PhD in Organizational Psychology and completing clinical work in maternal health. My journey to therapy started after my own difficult experience with motherhood, where I discovered a deep passion for helping women heal from traumatic birth experiences and generational trauma. Since then, I’ve been committed to providing culturally competent, trauma-informed care to women, mothers, and families, helping them navigate the complexities of life transitions, cultural identity, and emotional healing.
