Is this you?

You’re someone who has experienced trauma but hasn’t realized just how much it has impacted your life. You feel like you’ve been carrying an invisible weight, and it shows up in your relationships, your work, and your ability to feel joy. If you’re ready to heal those wounds and learn how to manage your life in a more empowered way, I can help you identify and address the root causes, not just the symptoms.

My Approach to Wellness

I take a trauma-informed and strength-based approach to wellness. While I help clients understand their trauma through timelines and identifying patterns, I also believe in empowering them with coping skills for daily life. I like to mix research-backed strategies with a holistic approach to help clients navigate both their emotions and the physical impact of stress. My goal is to help people build resilience and learn how to thrive, even if they’ve had difficult pasts.

What are 5 words clients use to describe you?

Compassionate, Empowering, Knowledgeable, Grounded, Insightful

I Specialize in working with people who...

… are navigating trauma, including childhood trauma, and want to break the cycles of pain in their lives. I also enjoy working with first-generation immigrants, individuals managing grief, and those coping with anxiety and depression.

How would you describe therapy to someone who has never been to therapy before?

Therapy is a safe space where you can unpack the heavy things in your life without fear of judgment. It’s not about just talking—it’s about understanding how your past affects your present, and how we can work together to help you live the life you want to live. It’s also about creating tools and strategies that you can use outside of sessions to improve your day-to-day experience.

What holistic practices do you incorporate into session?

I incorporate mindfulness, thought-reframing exercises like cognitive-behavioral techniques, and grounding strategies to help clients reconnect with their bodies and manage overwhelming emotions.

If someone was on the fence about therapy what would you say to encourage them to get started?

If you’re on the fence, I’d say that therapy is a way to invest in yourself. Even if you’re unsure, starting the process can help you discover things about yourself that you didn’t realize were there, giving you the chance to heal in ways that positively impact every part of your life.

About Me

I’m a first-generation Haitian immigrant who grew up in a single-parent household where a lot of things were swept under the rug. From a young age, I learned the power of being heard when my teacher sat me down and simply listened to me. That moment shaped my path toward becoming a therapist. I understand what it means to navigate multiple cultural identities and the challenges that come with it. As a therapist, I bring my whole self into the work I do, and I want my clients to feel the same freedom.

Identities I'd like to share

First-generation Haitian-American, Black woman, and daughter of immigrants.

My Story

I was born in Haiti and raised in a family where talking about feelings wasn’t the norm. That silence made me realize just how important it is for people to be able to express themselves, especially when they’re hurting. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of settings, from schools to community organizations, but my passion has always been helping people understand their trauma and giving them the tools to heal. As a first-generation immigrant, I know what it’s like to carry the weight of expectations, culture, and identity, and I aim to support others who feel similarly.
