My Approach to Wellness

My approach is client-centered and culturally informed, with an emphasis on helping you heal from the inside out. I draw on trauma-informed care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness techniques to guide you through life's transitions, whether you are navigating divorce recovery, managing the challenges of parenting, or seeking healing from past trauma. Together, we will create a space where your story can be fully heard and honored.

Are navigating major life transitions, such as divorce, parenting challenges, or professional stress. I work best with individuals who are ready to take the next step in their healing journey, particularly women who are balancing multiple roles and feel emotionally drained.

How would you describe therapy to someone who has never been to therapy before?

Therapy is a space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Together, we work to unpack the issues you’re facing, develop coping strategies, and help you reclaim control over your emotional and mental health. It’s about healing, but also about growth and empowerment.

What holistic practices do you incorporate into session?

Mindfulness, relaxation techniques, and cognitive reframing are central to my work. I also encourage reflective journaling and emotional regulation strategies to support clients outside of sessions.

If someone was on the fence about therapy what would you say to encourage them to get started?

If you’ve ever felt stuck in a pattern or like your emotional load is too heavy to carry, therapy can be a path to relief. You deserve a space where your healing and growth are prioritized, and together we can make that happen.

About Me

I became a therapist after a long journey through education, military life, and personal growth. My experiences as a mother of a child with ADHD, navigating divorce, and working with families in crisis all led me to social work. My goal is to help others avoid some of the hardships I faced by providing support, guidance, and tools for emotional healing.

My Story

As a mother and ex-partner to a military veteran , my life has been full of transitions. From navigating the challenges of military life to becoming a single parent, I’ve seen firsthand the struggles that women and families can face. I’ve worked in settings ranging from special education to social services, and now I’m committed to using my experiences to support others in their healing journeys. My passion for this work stems from my desire to make a difference in the lives of those who feel isolated or overwhelmed by their circumstances.
