Is this you?
You’re trying to navigate a world that doesn’t always see or value your full self. You might be juggling family expectations, school or work stress, microaggressions, or just the weight of constantly having to prove yourself. Sometimes you feel drained, unheard, or like you’re carrying more than your share. Deep down, you want peace, confidence, and a sense of control over your own life. You’re ready for a space where you can be honest, be seen, and learn tools to handle stress, set boundaries, and show up for yourself without guilt.
My Approach to Wellness
My approach to wellness is client-centered and focused on helping you gain a clear understanding of the patterns in your life that no longer serve you. I blend cognitive-behavioral strategies with a deep appreciation for the systemic and cultural factors that impact your mental health. My work often involves helping clients reframe their relationship with substances, improve communication skills, and navigate the pressures they face in their personal and professional lives.
What are 5 words clients use to describe you?
Empathetic, Insightful, Authentic, Calm, and Empowering
I Specialize in working with people who...
I specialize in working with people who have experienced trauma, struggle with emotional regulation, attachment challenges, and difficulties related to family dynamics or transitions. I also work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns, helping them build coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and develop healthier relationships and patterns of functioning.
How would you describe therapy to someone who has never been to therapy before?
I would describe therapy as a safe and supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment. It’s a collaborative process between you and your therapist, where the goal isn’t to “fix” you, but to help you better understand yourself, your patterns, and the things that may be getting in your way. Together, we work on identifying goals, building coping skills, and finding healthier ways to manage challenges. Therapy can be a place for healing, growth, and learning- where you can explore your story, gain new perspectives, and begin to create the change you want to see in your life.
What holistic practices do you incorporate into session?
If someone was on the fence about therapy what would you say to encourage them to get started?

About Me
I’ve always been passionate about mental health, both from my personal experiences and the ways I’ve seen it impact others around me. Growing up, I struggled with self-esteem, anxiety, and family dynamics. It wasn’t until I started studying psychology and later sought therapy myself that I realized how transformative these tools could be. Now, as a therapist, I work with men and individuals of color who want to break out of the cycles that have held them back for so long. I bring both my academic expertise and lived experience to the work I do, creating a space for others to heal.
Identities I'd like to share
Black woman and advocate for mental health in communities of color, with a focus on creating safe, supportive spaces for healing.
My Story
Growing up, I saw firsthand how challenging life could be when support, understanding, or guidance wasn’t always available. Those experiences taught me the importance of being heard, seen, and validated, and sparked my drive to create spaces where others could feel that same support. Early in my training and career, I learned that healing isn’t one-size-fits-all—each person brings their own story, strengths, and challenges. I’ve worked with kids, teens, and adults navigating trauma, family struggles, and life transitions, and I’ve seen how powerful it can be when someone finally feels safe to explore, reflect, and grow.
My mission today is simple: to provide a real, grounded, and empowering space where clients can connect with themselves, build on their strengths, release what’s holding them back, and step into the life they want to live. I want clients to leave therapy feeling lighter, more confident, and more capable of handling whatever life throws their way—while knowing they’ve been truly seen and supported along the way.

Just for Fun!
If I didn’t become a therapist, I would be doing this instead…
If I hadn’t become a therapist, I’d probably be crunching numbers as an accountant—still detail-oriented, still problem-solving, but with a lot less crying and a lot more spreadsheets!
What are your top 3 go-to self-care techniques?
My top self-care techniques include cooking, spending time with family, and going to the beach. I find cooking to be a relaxing and creative outlet, allowing me to focus on something tangible while nourishing myself and others. Spending time with family keeps me grounded and reminds me of the importance of connection, support, and shared joy. Going to the beach is my way to reset and recharge—being near the water, feeling the sun, and listening to the waves helps me find peace and clarity amidst the busyness of life.
3 Fun Facts About Me
I’ve had grey hair since I was three years old, which has always made me feel a little unique. Throughout my life, strangers have randomly approached me, telling me I have “wisdom beyond my years,” which always makes me smile. I love embracing the unexpected and finding the humor and insight in life’s little quirks—it’s part of what keeps me grounded and real both in and out of therapy.
