I specialize in working with Indigenous and BIPOC individuals who are navigating complex cultural and generational trauma. My focus is on helping people who are in the maintenance phase of their therapeutic journey or those who want ongoing support after completing more intensive trauma work. I also work well with individuals who are seeking to balance career pressures with personal wellness.

How would you describe therapy to someone who has never been to therapy before?

About Me

My journey into therapy started with a deep desire to support those navigating the complexities of cultural identity and intergenerational trauma. Having grown up in diverse cultural contexts and lived in both the U.S. and Canada, I understand firsthand the challenges many face when trying to balance their cultural heritage with modern life. My work is deeply informed by my connection to Indigenous communities in Canada, where I’ve supported youth and families dealing with the impact of residential schooling and historical trauma. I’m passionate about helping others find their voice and create new cycles of healing and resiliency.

I am a Black woman and an advocate for Indigenous rights. My cultural background and experiences living in both the U.S. and Canada allow me to connect deeply with clients who are navigating complex cultural dynamics in their own lives.

My Story

My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my passion for social justice and my commitment to supporting marginalized communities. Growing up, I saw the impact that generational trauma and cultural displacement had on my community, and I knew I wanted to be part of the healing process. My work in behavioral therapy and later in therapy for Indigenous communities solidified my desire to create a space where individuals can feel safe to explore their identities, heal from past wounds, and move forward with confidence.
